Mint Yogurt/ Curds with Pudina

This is very simple yet healthy recipe. In this, yogurt is a well-known probiotic combined with crushed mint leaves which improves digestion. For many years, mint is being used to treat conditions of indigestion and gas trouble. Curds or yogurt is the one item in kitchen which is handy in case of digestion issues. It promotes digestion and soothes digestive track with the live Lactobacillus in it.
This can be served as a dip for pakoras, spicy paratha or even can be added while making sandwiches.


Mint Yogurt

Preparation time: 5 minutes
Serves: 1 (as drink), 4 as dip
Ingredients:
Fresh Curds – 1 cup
Salt – for taste
Mint leaves – 2 tsp

Method:
  • Wash mint leaves clean & remove hard stems.
  • Crush mint leaves with your fingers or chop finely. 
  • Add theses crushed leaves to curds. Add salt. Mix well. 
  • Serve this with vada, pakodas, parota or consume as it is.

Notes:
  • You can add a pinch of cumin powder for improved flavor and for the added goodness of cumin which is another great ingredient to aid in digestion.
  • A pinch of pepper powder can be added to make it spicy.
  • This can be served as home remedy in case if someone has the issue of gastritis, bloating, mild diarrhea...
