Preparation time: 3-4 hours (Rice soaking time)

Cooking time: 30 - 45 minutes

Serves: 6-8 dosas

Ingredients:

Dosa rice – 1.5 cups

Cucumber - 1 medium/ 2 cups of roughly chopped pieces

  • Take soaked rice, chopped cucumber, grated coconut, jaggery in a wet mixer jar and grind to make smooth batter.
  • Add water as needed to get the batter of consistency thinner than regular dosa batter and thicker than that of neer dosa batter.
  • Add salt to taste, mix well.
  • Heat the iron griddle/ tava on medium flame.
  • Drizzle / apply ghee on tava/ pan.
  • Spread the dosa batter on hot pan.
  • Cook covered until done.
  • Now drizzle ghee on top and flip the dosa to cook other side.
  • Remove dosa when brown spots are observed.
  • Repeat until the batter is finished.
